A great visit to Lima, the capital of Peru, once the viceroyalty of Peru known as the city of Kings. Lima was declared a UNESCO, World Heritage in 1988. Travel through its pre-Hispanic, colonial, and contemporary times. This great city is known for its pre-Inca ruins spread through the city and historical sites. A visit to the Larco Museum housed in an 18th-century viceroyalty mansion exhibiting pre-Columbian Peru art, silver, and gold.

This morning or afternoon we start off from your hotel for a wonderful tour of Lima, the city of Kings. Drive by the modern suburbs of Miraflores and San Isidro. Visit the Huaca Pucllana, a pre-Inca pyramid shape temple that has survived the expansion of modern civilization. Observe the Olive Grove Park and the Financial Center. Continue with a visit of the Historical Center admiring the 16th-century Spanish colony observing the Plaza Mayor, the Presidential Palace, the Cathedral, the Archbishop`s Palace, the City Hall, and the Desamparados Train Station. We will also see Plaza San Martin, a large park surrounded by old buildings and other landmarks. Our final visit will be to the San Francisco catacombs. Enjoy lunch at the Larco Museum café. Then visit the Larco Museum to see the wonderful displays of Peruvian history. Return to your hotel.
