This morning we depart your hotel in Puno and drive to the port to board the motorboat for a ride on the waters of Lake Titicaca. We will meet the friendly Uros people and learn how they built their floating islands from the Totora reeds. Tour the manmade island observing the houses, boats, and sharing time with the locals. Optional ride on their traditional reed boats and take some pictures. After a wonderful colorful experience, we will continue to the island of Taquile navigating for about 2 ½ hours. We will hike up a gradual path for about 45 minutes to the village while admiring the lovely views. Meet some Taquileños and appreciate their textiles which are unique and part of their ancient culture. Enjoy lunch. After lunch, we will walk around the island to the main port where our motorboat waits to take us back to Puno.
